Elizabeth Doyle

Elizabeth Doyle is a multi-talented singer, pianist, composer, lyricist, music director, vocal coach and piano instructor.

Her singing and piano playing has been featured at venues throughout the United States and Europe, including Feinstein’s/54 Below, the Metropolitan Room and Cafe Sabarsky (New York City); Au Lapin Agile, Studio Raspail and the Swan Bar (Paris); The Paradiso (Amsterdam); Schwartzer Bock Hotel (Wiesbaden, Germany) and the famed Pump Room (Chicago).

Elizabeth was a featured guest on the late Marian McPartland’s NPR program, “Piano Jazz,” and her on-air performances have included BBC Radio, Dutch National Radio, WTTW-TV and South Dakota Public Radio.

She has written dozens of original cabaret, jazz and art songs which she and other singers have performed throughout the country at locations ranging from the Chicago Humanities Festival and Preston Bradley Hall (Chicago), to ASCAP New Music showcases with Sheldon Harnick and John Bucchino (New York City), to The Paradiso (Amsterdam, Holland).

Elizabeth is also the composer of several theatre musicals — among them “Fat Tuesday,” “Duo” and “Burnham’s Dream” — which have been mounted at prestigious locations such as Steppenwolf Theatre and Theatre Wit (both in Chicago). Another of her musical works, “Sleepy Hollow,” was showcased at the prestigious Disney/ASCAP Theater Music Workshop with Stephen Schwartz in Los Angeles.

As part of her mission to encourage others to write their own music and lyrics, Elizabeth has presented songwriting workshops for the Bart Howard Foundation (Burlington, Iowa) and Cole Porter Foundation (Peru, Indiana). In 2021, she was a collaborator for on-line songwriting sessions for college students in Zambia.

An After Dark Award winner and Meier Arts Achievement Award recipient, Elizabeth also has a thriving in-person and on-line vocal coaching and piano teaching practice.
